第64回菊池寛賞 受賞のお知らせ
10月5日（水）に開かれた選考顧問会におきまして、以下の功績を称えられ、北方謙三氏と秋本治氏が第64回菊池寛賞（主催：日本文学振興会）に決定いたしました。
北方謙三氏＝現代ハードボイルドの旗手と言われた著者が、17年の時をかけ完結させた全51巻の北方版「大水滸伝」シリーズ。数多ある先人の水滸伝に正面から挑む斬新な解釈で平成の新たな読者を開拓した。
秋本治氏＝1976年に連載を開始した漫画『こちら葛飾区亀有公園前派出所』を40年間一度の休載もなく描き続ける。世相・風俗を巧みに取り入れ、上質な笑いに満ちた作品を本年200巻で堂々完結させた 。
